DPOS
DPOS Food Cost
What does this dish cost, and why does the system believe that? A working food-cost tool for a real kitchen: recipes and components, an ingredient master, suppliers and their documents, price review, menus, events, shopping lists, Excel and print.
What it is
A costing system that never guesses. Every price traces to a supplier product, a cost record and a document, or says plainly that it cannot. A unit DPOS will not convert, a component with no measured yield, a price with no evidence: each is shown as what it is, not hidden behind a total.
Where your records live
In your own browser, on your own device. Nothing you enter is sent to this website. Download a backup from Settings whenever you have added work you would not want to lose, and restore it on any device. Because the records stay on the device, a shared computer shares the kitchen: use your own.
What you can do
- Cost recipes and reusable components, per batch and per portion.
- Keep an ingredient master with suppliers, packs, yields and conversions.
- Read supplier invoices and decide, price by price, what to adopt.
- Scale a recipe, build a shopping list, cost an event.
- Export real Excel workbooks; print kitchen and costing copies.
Install it
Open it on your phone or laptop and add it to the home screen. It keeps working when the connection drops, because the application shell is kept locally; your records were never online to begin with.
DPOS Food Cost is created and developed by Chef Paul Dukai. The kitchen you set up in it is yours alone; it starts empty.
