Legends

One of those places that was really about the people.

A bar, a courtyard, braais beneath the trees, sport on the screens, children and skateboards, regulars gathered around a drink, and the sort of everyday moments that become the real memory of a place.

The beginning of the archive

Not polished. Not staged. Just remembered.

Some chapters are best told through the ordinary things: a braai under a tree, a busy bar, a child learning to skate, a dog that somehow found the best seat in the house.

Legends belongs in that part of my story. The archive opens here with what remains in photographs and memory, and it will keep growing as more of the material is found.

A small memory

When dogs were allowed.

Every old place has details that would never make the business plan, but somehow become the stories people remember. Legends had plenty of those.

A living archive

More will be added as I find it.

Menus, food, staff, parties, signage and the photographs that turn up at the bottom of old boxes and forgotten folders all have a place here.
